After reading Brooklyn Sinners I can't get rid of the feeling that this is more of the same. Why even bother starting new series? Avril could have just continued the old one, unless I am missing something and this is a spin-off.
The book started well enough, but lost most of its steam and turned sappy not even half way through. With no edge to the story, "smart" MCs who couldn't figure out what was right in front of their faces (attempts at Dima's life included), awkward language, plagued by numerous typos and errors, the book got boring and I found myself skipping pages. Still, it was entertaining to a degree.
Don't have desire to continue the series.
